I got to spend a few days in Scottsdale to visit my longtime friend, Portia. The weather was perfection. It was about 80 degrees and it was never too hot or too cold. We did a little bit of shopping and a lot a bit of eating. I hit up Zara and I’m just wondering why we don’t have one in Utah!! Too many good things, guys… too many. I also ate A LOT, but that’s really all I ever want to do on vacay.
The first night we ate at an Asian Mexican fusion restaurant called Sumo Maya. It was unlike I’d ever had before, but it was delicious. The second day I met Portia for lunch at Barrio Queen for some tacos. Tacos are my favorite and the atmosphere and waitress were great. For dinner we went down to Phoenix and ate at the Arrogant Butcher. I got some yummy salmon. The third day I ventured back down to Old Town to have lunch at ChopShop. OMG. This place is uhmazing. I got a shrimp power bowl (shown below) and some fresh squeezed lemonade. For dinner we went to Kierland Commons and ate at The Greene House. I got a salmon salad and truffle parmesan fries. After that, we went to the fanciest movie theater I’ve ever been to- iPic Theatre. I may or may not have fallen asleep, but when you’re in a recliner and they provide a blanket, do you blame me!? The last morning we went back to ChopShop for a healthy acai bowl and then stopped at the Sprinkles cupcake ATM for a very unhealthy cupcake! Seriously, I’m quite upset that I didn’t invent an adorable pink ATM that dispenses sugar. All in all it was a grand time. I can’t wait to go back and explore more.
Thanks for stopping by; have a fAB day!
