Taking it back to our couple days spent in Palm Springs. We got to Palm Springs when it was already dark, so we couldn’t see many of the windmills, but we made a special trip back to them before we left and it’s really a sight to see. Thousands upon thousands of windmills as far as the eye can see. I understand why they have them because it is always windy in that spot (the proof is in the pics). I think they have some sort of tour that you can go on, but we decided to pull off the side of the road and admire them that way 🙂
If you go to Palm Springs, make sure you make a special trip to The Living Desert Zoo. I hadn’t planned on going there before we actually got to the desert, but I am so glad we went because it was my favorite thing we did while we were there!! I’m quite particular about zoos because it makes me so sad if animals are in small cages, but each animal had plenty of space to roam around. They had a goat corral where you could pet and hang out with goats for as long as you wanted. If you know me… you know my obsession with goats is REAL. I freaking love them and can’t wait to add them to my little fAB farm! So we hung out with the goats for a bit (I got some goat kisses) and then we fed giraffes. You guys. It was the coolest thing! They are so big, but they are so gentle and sweet. I thought their tongue would be super rough, but it was actually quite similar to a cat tongue. Also, their tongues are black because they eat for 17 hours a day and their tongue would get sunburned if it weren’t black. It’s actually pink just like ours if they stick it out far enough for you to see 😉 Just a little fun fact for your day. Ha! They had lots of other animals too- leopards, zebras, jaguars… basically anything that lives in Asia and can survive the intense desert heat. Now that I’ve gotten a little dose of being that up close and personal with the giraffes, I’m ready for my African safari. Who’s coming with me!? Thanks for stopping by; have a fAB day!
^^At first I was like- um, do you have anything other than a Mustang? BUT I actually really enjoyed driving this bad boy. It actually went somewhere when you pushed on the gas (unlike the little hamster I drive at home) ;), but my favorite part had to be the seat coolers. Um, definitely a necessity when temps are reaching close to 100 degrees!
^^Make sure you stop to see these giant Cabazon dinos on your way in or out of Palm Springs.
^^Don’t go to Palm Springs without going to The Living Desert Zoo. Giraffe feedings. ‘nough said!
